Microsoft have confirmed that the Microsoft Game Studio games that come to Xbox Game Pass, Starting with Sea of Thieves in March will also be available on PC with the Xbox Play Anywhere program all the time you have an active Game Pass subscription.
Microsoft have announced plans to expand Xbox Game Pass.
Going forward all Microsoft Game Studios games will be available to all Xbox Game Pass subscribers on the same date as their global release.
The first confirmed game to launch on Game Pass is Sea of Thieves on March 20th.
Other games mentioned in the announcement are State of Decay 2 and Crackdown 3, both launching on Game Pass the same day as their retail releases.
Future additions to Game Pass will include as yet unannounced games such as Halo, Forza and Gears of War.
This is all part of Microsoft’s plan to make Game Pass the Netflix of games. This is great news for all Xbox gamers.
Along with the new games, new subscription options will become available. Starting March 20th a new 6 month membership will be available for $59.99 (no word on UK pricing as yet).

Staying with Game Pass, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and WWE2K16 are leaving Game Pass on January 31st. So if your still working through either of these, you might want to have them finished before the end of January.
