January releases

Welcome to your monthly look at the games we will be playing this month.

Let’s get started with the new releases across all platforms for January 2018.

First up, The Escapists 2 coming January 11th for Nintendo Switch.

Risk it all to breakout from the toughest prisons in the world. Explore the biggest prisons yet, with multiple floors, roofs, vents and underground tunnels. You’ll have to live by the prison rules, attending roll call, doing prison jobs and following strict routines; all the while secretly engineering your bid for freedom!

The Escapists 2 originally released on the PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2017 and will be available with 4 player co-op from the Switch eShop for £19.99. Pre download will be available from January 4th.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition launches on PC & PlayStation 4 January 16th.

The first major update to Street Fighter V brings Arcade Mode, which was missing from the original release, Extra Battle Mode, Team Battle Mode and Gallery. The game is priced at £29.99 but will be available as a free update to owners of the standard Street Fighter V.

Finally, for January we have Monster Hunter: World coming January 26th for PlayStation 4 & Xbox One.

The latest entry in the critically acclaimed 40 million unit selling action RPG series, Monster Hunter: World introduces a living, breathing ecosystem in which players take on the role of a hunter that seeks and slays ferocious beasts in heart-pounding battles. Monster Hunter: World is £41.99 with the PC release expected later in 2018.

That’s all for a quiet January, which is a good thing as we are all probably still catching up on the Christmas games.

See you next month for February’s Games.
